Adele
graduated from the University of Sydney, where she grew up, in
1992 completing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational
Therapy. She
has always work in paediatrics and developed many skills for helping
children with severe, moderate and mild disabilities.
Adele
first worked at the NSW Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children
at the Alice Betteridge School. She spent two years there working
with children who had multiple disabilities.
Adele
wanted to travel Australia and spent a year working in Alice Springs
with the Community Child and Family Health Team. There she was
responsible for working with Aboriginal children and their families
as well as local children.
She
then worked on the Child and Youth Health Network in Newcastle
under Professor Graham Vimpani.
In
1998 she met and married her husband Michael and he moved her
to the Gold Coast where she has lived for the past 7 years. In
that time she had two beautiful children (girl and boy).
Adele
is currently seeing children in schools, at a private practice
and in the Special Education unit.
Adele
utilizes Brain Gym and Balance Board techniques as part of her
treatment. She
is a registered Occupational Therapist with Qld and a member of
the AAOT.
Very
enthusiastic about working with children Adele wants to see them
grow and learn to their full potential. Adele is also educating
teachers and parents on how to help children with learning difficulties.
