Balloon Toss is a great activity for your child working on visual tracking and visual motor integration. This involves effective and efficient communication between the eyes and the hands.
Use an inflated balloon to toss and hit from above and to the sides. Encourage your child to extend their head and neck back to see how high the balloon can go and down low as they hit the low tosses.
You can prompt your child to use just their left or their right hand. Remind them the aim is to keep the balloon off the ground.
Your child can also complete this on their knees. This is an activity they can do individually or with family and friends.
